Ngc 1365

Decided to capture this nice little galaxy last night. I encountered some problems with auto-guiding which resulted in me loosing 8 x 5 minute subs due to guiding errors.

Anyway, I got the guiding fixed and working properly allowing me to continue the imaging session.

Details:

Celestron C8 SCT f/6.3 on EQ6 Pro
Guided with DMK 21 and PHD
Canon 450D
12 x 5 minute subs, ISO 800
ICNR Darks, Fully calibrated
Stacked in DSS and processed in PS CS3

Please let me know what you think.

Enjoy.

Very nice Matt. The galaxy is nicely resolved right out to the outer arms.
Well done.

Nice piccie, Matt. Background could be a little darker and a little less red, but other than that, it's a great shot. Guiding was good.
