Tarantula Neb at 1800mm

Tarantula Nebula. taken on Christmas Eve.
Combination of 4 X 10 minute images captured with QHY8, Vixen VC200L AT 1800mm. Flts and bias files applied.
Combined using IP3.5
Final edit and core masking using PS CS3

Been a while between shots so this was just a quicky in between Christmas Guests arriving. Fairly happy with the end result considering the dirt and grott on the CCD and the limitted exposure time.

Nice work Doug, great scale there! Had some good nights lately haven't we? Unfortunately, a busy time of year though, LOL!

Cheers -

OK, "agressive" comes to mind, certainly different.

Gezz Doug, not bad for an imaging session waiting for guests to arrive. Sounds rather informal. I like it. The "contrasty" highlights really set this apart from other images. Well done.

Very explosive looking. The spider's right in your face. Very detailed. I like it. That could be cropped, framed and heading straight for the pool room
