Hello I shot These Early this morning 26/12 /2008 Thge LMC was ISO-880 -509 seconds Canon 350D sigma Zoom lens set at about 135mm.It was taken at 3.21 am.Eta Carinae was ISDO-800. and 149 secs . Both were processed in CS3 I'm on a Steep learning curve here.They were guided on a EQ5 chineese mount. The 350D was Piggybacked on a ED80mm Refractor,The Seeing was not too good. A nice pair of images. The LMC looks a bit on the blue, even mono coloured to me. You may want to try and adjust the colour balance and saturation and see if can lift a bit of colour into the image. Eta Carinae is quite well resolved and has some nice colour.
It is certainly a steep learning curve but its all part of the fun.
