NGC 1313 in Reticulum
Hi everyone....so this is my latest image, with the last of the colour acquired tonight (first frame was taken 7 Dec). This is a fast fading galaxy, as it crosses the meridian just 30 minutes after dark, so data acquisition has been protracted on this object (I am light polluted in the west).
http://www.martinpughastrophotography.id.a u/images/NGC1313-LRGBV2.jpg
This is an LRGB image totalling 10 hours (7:1:1:1).
Equipment Used: 12.5" RC, STL11K, AO-L
Thanks for looking as always.
Cheers and best regards
Martin

Terrific image Martin.
Apart from the obvious qualities, it is not the usual RC target -M42, 253, Cent A etc.
And it's in the Southern hemisphere
Thankyou for using your gear for something different.
Well done allround.

Thanks all.....much appreciated...clear skies
Jen...I certainly hope to do that, and I have lined up a spot on top of a very nice mountain range, which enjoys 1 arcsec seeing and better for 270+ nights a year!! What to do with all that data methinks.

Very nice image of this relatively faint galaxy.
showing plenty of HII knots along the contorted arms.
Pulled out the dusty extensions very well indeed as well.
Very nice indeed.
Cheers
