M42. Well l did try

it was looking good last night so l quickly set up some new gear for my first imaging session in what seems like months because it probably is. within 10 min you guessed it, wind and persistant cloud.
ln 2 hours l managed to get 1 unobscured shot although it does give me an idea of the scopes fov.
1 x 4min w/ Megrez 90 w/ 0.8 reducer and Baader UHC-S.
Canon 50D @ iso 800
Losmandy G11
Maybe tonight will bring a full session.

I think it's an exceptional shot. Stars are very tight. You just need more subs and integration time. That'll be a ripper

Yes - maybe Bintel has a cloud filter. A good image and a great FOV

Merry Christmas

May well be only one image but you have captured a lot of detail and I think there is still more you can pull out of this. Your setup looks like it will be a great imaging setup.
Better luck next time.

I agree with all them above Mick. In years gone by this would be outstanding. Given the circumstances it is stunning, hang in there.
