I found this on disk today, and remember that I mucked around with a couple of focus test shots on Jupiter on the evening of 09/09/2008. I was trying out my Tak FS-102 on the moon and was very happy with shots of that object that evening.
I'd forgotten about the three or four shots I quickly snapped of Jupiter until now. Here is one of them - mild levels tweaking and that's about it. It's nowhere near as good as a webcam stacked image, but for single frame I think it turned out OK.
Single frame by Nikon D40 at 1/4 sec at ISO800. Takahashi FS-102 with Televue 5x PowerMate
Thanks for looking!
