Seben CLR filter

Hi, I recently purchased a Seben CLR filter. I was shocked when I screwed it onto my eye piece and it turned the whole FOV green!

I imaged the Sculptor Galaxy through my DSI OSC and needed to adjust the colours in photoshop (reduce the green channel) . I must admit I did not find it to produce "amazing detail" as outlined in the sales grab!

My question is: is it normal for these wide band light pollution filters to turn the filed of view green? And if so, then does one just then compensate for colour correction during post imaging processing?
