Quick NGC1365

It's been a while but the weather finally cleared enough last weekend. Here's a quick NGC1365 image I took using the ED80 and DSI II (approx 50x1min subs).

Thanks for looking.

Thanks Alex. Had a real battle with the light polution here near the city. This galaxy is a good size for the DSI/ED80 combination and reasonably bright.

Good luck,

Peter.

ps. good to catch up with you today. Powered up the EL panel tonight - not sure if the illumination will be even enough for flats but will give it a try.

Good job on this object. Starry night says its mag 10.3 - I've always found galaxies this faint to be a problem with skyglow in my local area.

Cheers Dan. This galaxy comes up near the top of the Astroplanner list for this time of year for size and mag. I think the DSI is great for happy snaps from the back yard though despite the sky glow and I've been working on my PS skills but still a lot to learn.

In terms of good targets I'm just lucky if the clouds clear up here at the moment.

Peter
