Grus Quartet and others

Saw this group for the first time last night (7552, 7582, 7590, 7599). Very pleasing group, especially from my site in suburbia. Also saw 7496 and the main showcases: LMC, SMC, M42. Lots more to see in the Grus area. Also saw 2024 in Orion once Alnitak was pushed out of the FOV. The fainter IC434 which has the horsehead in it was just visible (didn't see the horsehead of course by the neb was there - I think!!!).

Then came the call from the wife: "Honey bear are you coming to bed or are you staying out all night". OK, OK. hopefully the good weather holds up.

Also a couple of good web sites: on Messier:
http://www.messier.obspm.fr/

http://www.hawastsoc.org/
The Hawaiian one has good wide field maps and more detailed maps of the constellations, done with The Sky software. good site to check out.
