Orion Trapezium Neb with DMK

After unsuccessful attempts to get GPUSB working and drift aligning; not to mention battling moonlit sky, I decided to see what the DMK was capable of.

After taking numerous pics of the moon for a mosaic piece I swung the scope round to Orion and was quite impressed with the new DMK.

Looks more like the trapezium and Fish Mouth to me.
Still a good shot to show what the DMK is capable of doing.

Pretty cool. Is that a crop or did you barlow your ED80?

Neither. Unless ICCapture cropped the image originally, which I didn't notice. I did have the image zoomed in ICCapture which possibly cropped the snaps.

yeah, the DMK cameras are actually quite capable of deep sky imaging...

Pm me your email address, and I'll send you a fool proof guide to drift alignment (And I mean fool proof.. Even I can drift align my mount in 30 minutes using it!)
