Brisbanes Big Storm - 16-11-08

I got the camera out last night for the storm rolling in, and caught the first image of the front out to the east of my balcony....I proceeded to mount it on the tripod and I left it with the timed remote, and ran 100x5sec exposures with a 1sec interval between images... Caught quite a lot of lightning... The 2nd image is one of the better ones (a few were half in half out of frame, or far off on the horizon)

I'm working on an animated gif of a series of 20 of the 100 shots (consecutive shots) that shows the speed of the clouds rolling by, and about 10 strikes in 2 minutes... (the animated gif will probably be fairly large, but run for maybe 10 seconds... Quite the time lapse..)

Setup:
Canon 350D + Sigma 24-60 F/2.8

Shot info:
Shot1:
ISO200
1/400th exposure
24mm @ F/2.8

Shot 2:
ISO400
5/1 exposure
60mm @ F/22
