Life in the bush and rain

What else can you say it sure is raining..and it is not stopping.
My batteries wont take a charge even if there was Sun for the panels and they wont charge from the genny..the gas stove has gone west and the wood is wet...so today I got me a little metho burner..and for the last hour I have been trying to cook some meat ..what a drag I think I will get to eat it raw..

Cheer up Alex. Mike will be honoured to know that you have saved your very last electrons to access his website. The tone sounds a bit "On the Beach". You know, "Well, there goes Alex at Tabulam, I'm afraid. He'll be snuffed out pretty soon, I guess. Poor chap had to eat his meat raw, last thing we heard before he had to go off the air. I guess it won't be long for us, now..."

How goes Gravity Rain, by the way?

Regards, from oh-so-sunny Hobart,

Brian.

It can get a bit of a survival effort sometimes but it is fun as you really feel alive.

Well there is rain and it is gravity that brings it to us... and of course there is the way everything works..gravity rain or gravity push as it has wvoled to...but the idea is far from original..even Newton knew of it ..A chap by the name of Le Sage had the idea back in 1745... still I reckon he is right... and there is so much stuff on the net that gravity pushes it is somewhat laboured..however I still am interested in how gravity works... what else can you think about up here...

I have the genny going ..uses very little fuel...a $150 job.. so it is not so bad..and I have two dogs left to pat... and "she" is leaving me alone...gone to Brisbane so I am sure she will be happy...

Meat is not too bad ..cooked but its a funny colour

Take care, Alex

You're right about the 'fun' aspect of it all.

I remember being snowed in as a kid growing up in London and having to deal with all the challenges Mother Nature threw at us just going about our day-to-day lives.

It does somehow inspire a sense of early 'pioneer-ness'

So, Alex, have you ever read "Walden," by Henry David Thoreau?
I'm sure you'd appreciate it.
