Central Coast Observing - 3rd September

Just getting this thread underway, hopefully there'll be some newcomers this month (Rocket Boy included).

As usual, new moon observing at Kulnura this weekend (3rd September).

Here's the map if you're new (250k jpeg)

Excellent dark skies, great fields, facilities (power, toilets, etc), easy and quick to get to, and of course great company. We usually get about 10 people each month, hopefully this weekend will be no different.

At this stage, I may not be there as I went out the weekend just gone, and getting a leave pass two weekends in a row may prove difficult.

I'll update the thread with people confirmed..

- John Bambury (ausastronomer)
- Anthony (frogman)
- Louie (atalas)
- Rod (rodstar)
- Andrew (hector) with his 20"!

Who else is coming?

The football season is over for me (Grand Final last weekend) So I am ready and waiting.
I have a few beers for Louie and a little present for Anthony.

Clear skies

I am not sure if I can make it. The family has a big day planned for me on Sunday. I know if I go I will be making it an all-nighter and my wife wouldn't be to happy about that!

I hope the skies stay that way. It's looking good so far.
I haven't been out for a while so it would be nice to get under some dark skies. If I can remember which way to look to find the sky after all I am Irish
