G'Day All,
As some members would know I ordered a POD in early Jul 08 which is due to arrive in early Nov 08. I have decided to sell it. The main reason why I bought it was I have been hoping to move house (over a year now) and the POD would be much easier to take down and reassemble than my colourbond steel one.As a result of not moving in the foreseeable future I'm going to sell the POD (a reluctant sale )
The POD that I ordered is without bays as I could not see what use they would be to me.I have a small desk and chair in my Obs and just under 1 metre space all around the pier,more than enough room for me,and beside I always take the laptop and eyepieces inside after I finish viewing .Also the bay would take up more space in the back yard.The only option I did order is the black insulation,which not only insulates but makes the inside of the POD darker.This is for someone who is really interested in a new Observatory.I really don't want to sell it as I have been wanting one of these for nearly 3 yrs.
But regretfully I have no choice.The price is around the $5000 mark and is pick up only,or arrange a courier as the cartons will be unopened.All inquiries are to be made off forum,and please contact me at
