OrionHappy but how do you reveal the core?

Hi,

Taken last night 10 x 5 Minute Lights with 3 x 5 Minute darks DSS and processed in photoshop and DSS. Canon 400d ISO800. I'm very happy with this as it is my first Orion though my W/O Flt 110 guided with PHD but my question is how do people end up with the 4 core stars showing. I thought of taking 15 x 1 Min shots and stacking these with 10 x 3 min and 10 by 5 min however even my 1 min were blown out so you could not see the core stars. Any advice on processing and question welcome..

Thanks

Mark

Revealing the core is done by taking shorter exposures, usually 15 ~ 30 seconds, and layering them in using masks in photoshop... there is a guide on how to do this Here!!

Great looking image so far mate ! Fantastic...
