NGC253 in HDR.

Taken with the modded Nikon D70.

24 subs of different lengths (from 5Min to 10Min).
Darks, flats and bias substracted.

Hope it looks ok.

Excellent shot martin. Glad to finally see a modified D70 being used for such a noble purpose! What mod did you go with, and are you finding the mod generally worth it? I may yet get another D40 (which are cheap as chips at the moment) and mod that.

Thank you Daniel (see you in 3 weeks), Humayun and Chris.

Chris the camera was modded by myself.
Taking the filter out is very easy but soldering 3 wires to the shutter button and routing them to the side of the camera was the tricky part.

Any mod is worth it and will certainly pick up more in nebula's.

As a UV/IR filter i use a Baader 2" screw in filter and it works great.

Very nice detail in this image Martin. May be a little less processing would improve the image. It looks like you have stretched a bit hard. Even clipping the image a little would improve the background a bit.

Nice detail just the same. Well done Buddy.
