First go at the moon

Hi all,
Still pretty new to this game and have started experimenting with some photos. Took this a couple of nights back. Taken through a 12 inch dob with a 6 mega pixel camera using an orion camera holder. Simple set up with reasonable results wondering what everyone else thinks.
Cheers
Scott

They could both use a bit of sharpening in photoshop or something similar, but apart from that, very nice..

Welcome to the expensive world of astrophotography

Nice work Scott, a great way to get started. Some work on the levels would reduce the haze around the edges, but still a pleasing image.

Well, although it is only your first attempt at this target, you have done yourself proud, very nice indeed.

And if you take heed of what the other guys suggest you will go a long way.
