Oh no! Not another NGC 253.

This is the first time I have imaged this object.

LRGB exposure 90m L, 50m R, 50m G, 50m B ST-10XME, BRC-250.

Hope you like it.

Steve,

Nicely handled. It has a very natural look...and the resolution is excellent.

Very nice image Steve. Funny how you get used to looking a t a target a certain way. To me the galaxy looks upside down.

Thanks to Doug, Peter, Marcus, Liz, and Matt for your comments.

Weather in Victoria has been absolutely atrocious for imaging in the last couple of months. Last night apart from being cloudless for a long time, was also good for seeing conditions.

Steven

thanks - looks brilliant - though one side of the image is a yellowgreen and the other is not. Is this the effect of light pollution source on that side?

nice steven, the dusty areas have a totally different look if you rotate the pic 180 deg , one of those strange optical illusions. i think yours gives it the right look though.

Very cool Loads of details in the core and the dust lanes. You can even see little pinkish nebulaes in there.
