ESO350-40 The Cartwheel

The Sky 6 lists this as a magnitude 14.8 galaxy. Given its rather low brightness, small size and un-seasonally warm weather in Sydney, (made it difficult to cool the camera to an optimum level), I found it to be quite a challenge.

Thanks guys. I suspect the really faint stuff is around mag 20.

Without a doubt, this sort of object cries out for even more aperture/FL and great seeing.

Not bad Peter particularly from light polluted skies.
I don't recall you imaging anything off the beaten track.

I imaged this one a few years ago.

Thanks Steve.... actually I do a lot of random stuff...but most of it isn't very photogenic and rarely worth making public....particularly minor planets!

Adding colour to this one might make it interesting, but not one I'd print.
