Deep Sky Stacker glitch?

My deep sky stacker program keeps hitting me with an out of memory warning and I can go no further.

What the heck does that mean? I have heaps of memory on my hard drive? Which memory?

Puzzled.

Baz.

Hi Baz,

I've actually never experienced this warning before with DSS but it may be refering to the computer's RAM not the memory on your hard drive. Stacking large images puts a large work load on your computer's RAM so that may be what the message is refering to.

Thanks Matt.

I still have no idea how to fix it.

Anyone?

Baz.

Just to pass on to anyone else who may have this problem, the problem is now solved, thanks to Luc of deepskystacker.

I had the 3 x Drizzle checked and this was using up a lot more RAM than normal. To use 3x, you need a faster PC.

I unchecked it and am back to processing and stacking lights normally.

I hope this helps someone.

Thanks Luc.

Baz.
