Talking Laser Pointer/Finder Add in Nov ed' of Sky at Night

Just a little funny aside, there was an add in the November issue of "Sky at Night" magazine for a green laser pointer/finderscope that read, and I quote..."5 megawatt laser pointer/finder". Definitely a misprint, as they actually meant 5mW (5 milliwatt) not 5MW (5 megawatt)

Although, I can see the uses for such a powerful pointer..... like "removing" pesky plane overflights and Iridium satellites that always seem to find your FoV

Could even come in handy for uses against recalcitrant observers from the general public, at star parties, who hog scopes or just plain muck up around them

Or, for uses against recalcitrant neighbours, football, pony and other clubs who violate your observing with floodlights...or the local light on the power pole

I wonder if it would be strong enough to burn off the tops of inconveniently placed trees.

Well personally I'd be cutting them off at the base and replacing them with a dense 6ft high shrubbery to shield head lights from the road.
Maybe even two shrubberies, to give it a tiered effect.

Or have the 6' at the front and 10' at the rear, to kill the street lamps
