Eagle Nebula M16 with Canon 20DA

I didn't have a lot of time tonight but I managed to get 12 x 30 second exposures of the Eagle Nebula M16....stacked the best 10.

5 x 1600 ISO + 5 x 3200 ISO + 2 x 800 ISO

C11 SCT prime focus F10 FL 2800 taken tonight at 7:00pm...stacked with K3CCDTOOLS and edited and resized in Photodeluxe.

This is one very red Nebula.

Nice work again Tony, I'm envious, maybe I should send the 20D away for mods....

Dave, Tony's barely utilising any tracking with 30 second exposures, but wait till he gets his guiding going and starts using longer exposures. The 20DA isn't exactly cheap either.

Tony, I hate to see when your rushed like that placing sub standard images like that on this site! Do you really think we are that cheap as to want to look at these every night.. You Betcha!! What you have posted so far is beyond belief. I would really hate to see you have a good go at it, we all would!!

Great image. Can you go longer, say 5 mins per image?, if you could you'd be blown away with how deep you could go with the 20 Da.

Wow Tony, I can't believe the results you're getting after such a short time in DSLR imaging. Incredible.

Awesome Tony. How about uploading the original to your web page again and letting us mere mortals have another play with it

Thanks Guys.....

My remote release cable has arrived but I missed it so it's at the post office awaiting pick up tomorrow morning...then I will try some longer exposures..not too long as I need to set up guiding yet.

Ving...nah the misses is fine....I went outside to image around 6:00pm and was finished and playing on the computer at 7:30pm...having the observatory is fantastic....no setup time lost or wasted.

Paul....yes I will upload the rar file...just give me 5 minutes to Zip and upload the file to the below website.

Eagle Neb K3.rar is the file if anyone is intersted.

That's beautiful Tony,
The shorter exposures actually improve the contrast of the eagle bit.. It would print out nice! Looks like your getting the hang of Photoshop OB1.
Cheers
