LONDON: Astronomers believe they have captured the first picture of an alien planet in orbit around a star similar to our sun.
Images of a young star and what is thought to be its companion planet have been taken with the Gemini North telescope on Mauna Kea in Hawaii. However, astronomers are puzzled by the distance between the two...
Since 1995, more than 300 planets have been identified around stars other than the sun.
