Hi Ken, you have captured some fantastic depth in the nebulosity.
A fine image.

Beautiful work, Ken. Looks very very deep red. Not sure if that's accurate, but a very fine image.

Saw this elswhere an wondered about the red too but that does not detract from the wonderful depth and detail.

Very nice indeed!
May I ask what the individual exposure times were for the Ha data? and also, what type of Ha was used? 13nm/7nm etc?
I love this Ha stuff.. and am keen to try it once i get my QHY8 under control...

Very firey image there Ken ! I like the high contrasty reds, I don't think it would look as impressive without them.

Very dramatic image Ken, it sparkles, nice. Yeh probably a tad too red perhaps..? but I think it still looks very nice
How are you finding that QHY8?

Thanks for your replies Ric, Mike S, Matt, Frank, Alex, Steve, Big Mike and Lester. You were right, the image is too red. I realised I still had the screen brightness dimmed from my imaging session.
The QHY8 and 13nm Ha filter worked very well together with the 15 min subs. Anyway here's another go at it....

Fantastic image Ken, you have captured some superb detail within the nebulosity.
The reprocess looks stunning, a huge improvement over the first IMO.
Very well done.

Superb image Ken.
Add that one to your SPSP images! (I'll be upsetting some other people I can see)
Great to see the 10inch in action.
Cheers

Lovely image Ken. Maybe a halfway point between the two versions? Thanks for posting - an object I didn't know existed.

Very nice details in that shot. I really like the framing and the line of four stars. Nearly evenly spaced and same intensity. Catches the eye.

Thanks for the replies Matt, Greg, Beren, Jeff, David, Michael, Craig and Marc. There seems to be a 1001 ways of blending Ha with RGB data. Michael your 10" GSO should be a good imaging machine, if you saw the mirror in my old 10" with 1/2 the coating missing you'd have a laugh. Anyway keep David away from it because he's suffering from refractoritis!!!
It will be good to catch up with you guys at IISAC.
Clear skies,
Ken C
