Planets and southern cross from NZ

Was able to give my new 40D a quick run last night. 8sec @ISO1600 f/3.5 17mm. Seems to have slightly better noise performance than my 450D at ISO1600 . Should be more promising from a darker site under moonless skies!

Enjoy,

Troy

Great colours there.
Well done.

The Southern Cross looks to me like its pointing to the Planets.

Keep 'em coming.
