Damn! Was tossing an EQ6 up all week last week.

So now we wait for the new black one in November and the new (black) higher price.

In Andrews used and surplus stock list:

Skywatcher EQ6PRO eq. mount/tripod, complete, return - as new $1199.00

...might be your last change at a low-cost EQ6!

...but WHY was it returned?...

Cheers,

Rob

I reckon that'll be gone Rob, it's been up for ages - last amended on 20.8.08.
Worth a try for anyone interested though...

That EQ6 was purchased by a forum member and returned back to them again, from memory it wouldnt track or slew properly...

Seeing these prices go up makes me happy I stretched my budget when the EQ6 was $1499. I was originally going to go for a HEQ5, but the prices on the EQ6 came down to the point where there was only a $200 odd difference in price..

*** Hugs low cost EQ6 pro ***

Wow!

That's almost what you have to pay for an EQ6 a couple of months ago.

I highly doubt that EQ6 Pro listed in the surplus stock will still be there although it is probably the last one you are going to get for that price if it is.

You could use it as an extremely sturdy tripod.

There y'go... Why was it returned indeed! If an offer seems too good to be true, it's probably because it's too good to be true!!

Cheers,

If it was returned as faulty and then resold without being fixed, that's a bit of a worry! Or am I naive.

Well it's not the way for a dealer to grow his good reputation, now if they are up-front on the mount's problems with all comers, then that's a different story.
