Heads up, Ganymede eclipse 06/09/08

At about 6:30pm aest Ganymede will begin to be eclipsed by Jupiters shadow. Should be all over in about 15 minutes.

Could be an interesting photo/animation opportunity with enough aperture and reasonable seeing.

Ganymede will begin to emerge at around 9:55pm aest.

cheers

Can you clear the clouds for me?

Thanks for the heads-up but it's not gonna happen here.

I missed the disappearance, but am aiming to visually observe the reappearance at 10 pm. There's also the GRS on the central meridian at about 9:30!
