M42, The HorseHead and M33

Taken a couple of nights ago.
M42 is a composite of 164 frames at 32x integration and 260 frames @ 128x. It's my first attempt at this process to try and tame the trap.
The Horse Head. 362 frames @ 128x.
M33. 500 frames @ 128x.
Camera Gstar-Ex
Mount- Ioptron Alt/Az Cube
Scope- Ioptron 80mm F5 refractor.
Filters- IR cut
Processed in Paint Shop Pro.

Have you used sharpening? If so, perhaps back off on this a little but great little set of images that

The 32X and 128X are the intergration or shutter exposures used in the range of astro video cameras out there.
128X is max intergration and equals about 2.5 second exposures,so when the video camera such as the g-star is set on this it is doing 2.5 second exposures and the image on the screen such as a TV or LCD is refreshed every 2.5 seconds or there abouts.
At 64X it is about half the 2.5 seconds so every second or so and at 32X about a 1/4 of max and so on. Shows the sensitivity of these low light video cameras. Very nice images Jeanette.

I was totally stunned with the Horse Head. What I saw on the monitor was a few stars and a vague sort of shadowy spot. Who would have though that THAT would be the end result.
Star bloom is a big problem when you push this camera to it's limits. I should really lower the integration rate and capture more images to compensate. Next time maybe.
Mike, Matt explained about the in camera frame integration.

Love the Horsehead too! Great work with that cam. The density of the nebulosity in M 42 is really impressive as well.
