Clear skies in Brisbane tonight?

There are thunderstorm clouds heading for Brisbane as I write.

Is it too much to hope that they'll just roll straight on over and leave tonight's sky clear?

Does that happen?

A very good chance I believe, but I guess you're in the West, as I am, and it may develop into something rather more sinister. Look at BOM, there is a "Very Dangerous Thunderstorm" brewing at the moment.

Hmmmm, I think you might be right ... that cloud patch on the satellite just keeps getting bigger and bigger. Looks like we'll be looking at hail stones instead of stars tonight.

And looks like more of the same tonight

Here's what's heading in from the SW.
