Brissie watchers - did you see it?

we went out side last night (25/8) to watch a bright Iridium Flare (-8 Mag.) at just after 8.38pm, and got an extra unexpected event a few minutes later.

At about 8.43 there was a Meteorite in the south west which was big and bright (glowing yellow/Red) and left a yellow tail stream. I know its hard to estimate, but it looked as if it would make it to the ground.

Its the brightest I've ever seen, and I was suprised that there werent reports of invasions, UFO's and crashing planes in the news this morning.

anyone else see it?

Missed it

Would've been a cool sight, though.

I was outside last night at that time.
But I must have had my back turned when that one went by.
