Jupiter & Europa 13 August

The clouds cleared for a bit tonight. Reasonable seeing for a while, maybe 6/10, and then the clouds came back. This was taken about 9.40 CST.

11"SCT, 2x barlow, 1" extension tube, SkyNyx 2.0 camera, 45 secs each of RGB @ 30fps.

Nice image, Graeme! Lots of detail, great to see the GRS.

One improvement - the background levels need to be brought down, raise the black point and it'll look heaps better.

Thanks for sharing.

Now i know i need a C11... an excellent image with lots of fine details present. And the GRS looks great, good fine detail. Best of all is the detail in the equatorial bands. I always wondered if a C11 could get these so well and you have proved it.
