I don’t think you will see much from this meteor shower. The radiant is below the horizon. Look towards north- east before dawn.

Well guys I just have to tell you this Meteor shower was great from up here in the top end.
I have been out both yesterday morning and this morning.
Yesterday saw a rates of about 25/hr and this morning was 35-40 /hr, with the uncertainty being because of a band of high cloud that came through in the middle of the observing session.
There was a high number of bright persids this morning that left trails, with some lingering for a second or two.
I was not alone in my viewing, yesterday I shared it with a visitor from Adelaide & this morning Prof. Ray Norris & I enjoyed the views and a good brew of Coffee.
Apart from that, it was worth going out at 4 am, if only to get awesome views of Andromeda, sitting high in the morning skies, filling the field of view of my 16x60 bino's.

I know there are some meteor shower watchers out there !
There must be someone else who saw this Major Meteor shower.
The Persids are one of the best on my annual calendar.

I'd be up for it, 'cept for the fact 90% of the lightpollution around my neighbourhood extends from N to E(Perth, Fremantle, Kwinana industrial strip(incl Alcoa, BP etc), so haven't bothered.
