Vertical Lines In Dmk Avi Recordings

Recording daylight test pictures, as advised by the Iceman, I have disappointedly discovered two thin black vertical lines through the recordings, one at 6mm and another at 30 mm from the left hand side of the recording. These lines are visible in the raw AVIs and more so if the recordings are sharpened or adjusted for contrast. Having seen these lines when recording with the telescope, I've made bench tests with a focal reduction lens screwed to the DMK - no telescope - the lines remain vertical even when the camera is laid on its left or right side. Has any owner of a DMK21 AU04 seen similar fault? Or can some one give me advice. I have sent an email to the German manufacturer explaining what I've discovered in hope that they will advise me before contacting Bintel.

Dennis, you just need to click "Go Advanced" and then you'll see the "Manage Attachments" option.

Making the daylight test recordings with the new DMK 21 AU 04, two vertical lines appeared on the left side of each picture. Confused with new equipment I was at a loss which to blame. Telescope, camerra or laptop computer so I set up a test rig using a focal reducer that happened to focus a picture at about 1500 mm. I didn't need to process these as the lines were visible in the raw AVI recordings. Turning the camera on either side still produced vertical lines - they didn't follow the camer's position - and it wasn't until posting to IIS that it dawned on me, this had to be some thing independant of the recording chip. It so happenned that the cable that came with my add on hard disc is similar to the DMK cable and exchanging the cables produced pictures with no obvious vertical lines. As I wrote in previous articles the day time viewing of subjects at a reasonable distance is limited to a view from the livingroom window across the harbour. Back in the telescope, lines were not visible in land base objects at 60 or 30 fps but a reording of a navigation marker where the water is in motion and becomes a light grey blur when processed, a very faint line can be seen when taken with 60 fps but not at 30 fps.
The attached has been cropped to preserve the line while reducing the picture to fit IIS allowed size, makes the line difficult to see.
If a reply is received from the manufaturer I will report it in IIS.

Sorry to be so thick, but I've looked at every part of the tool bars and extensions and help section. The only word Advance is under Recording settings. Is it possible I haven't loaded evwerything off the supplied disc? I would have liked your opinion regarding the vertical line.

There's nothing in the settings that would produce that line.

It could be interference or a dodgy USB cable.

Sorry Iceman. I eventually found the GO Advance you suggested.
I had the Camera controls in mind whereas you were referring to IIS controls.
