Aristarchus in Saturated Colour

Here is a saturated colour image of the Aristarchus Plateau. I used an LRGB approach to combine a b/w and a saturated colour image. The result shows the colours of the plateau.

Welcome Zac,

nice to see you joined up after seeing a few Ice In Space people from Astrofest. Nice image there too. I like the colour, it gives it a little bit of depth for just staring at for a while. The features do stand out better.

Great pic and some clever (but simple) processing. Welcome to the site Zac

I enjoyed your informal talk on the "colourful" moon at the SAS meeting a few months back.

(Looks like Bird will have some stiff comp in webcam planet imaging on this site now )

Love those saturated moon images. It adds so much texture, contrast and depth. Almost 3-D. Oh and Zac
