it would be remiss of me not to thank everyone for looking, thanks to all for their tips, ideas, and company. going to have a couple months off so see you when the weather warms up (melbourne cup weekend is when the weather improves) this will be my last post til then .

just for gary H the enlargement.... its pixel for pixel so full res .... only the middle bit though 200kb worth.

Clive, I refrained from commenting on this image as in all honesty, I found the original post didn't provide much insight as to what is going on in the image. I think if people are serious about imaging, they'll get their own web space to upload photos at a greater resolution instead of posting within the limitations of the site. No point limiting your work when you've spent hours processing it. This aside, I'm pleased you posted 1:1 crop. A marvellous image indeed with lovely details highlighted. Very good work. Enjoy your break (this is what I'm currently doing), hope to see more images when you get back into the swing of things.
