3 comet obs......8th and 10th August

Hi all i braved a very cold Armidale morning on sunday, -8, to view 3 comets!

C/2008 A1 McNaught


2008 August 08.35 UT; m1= 7.8; Dia= 6.4'; DC= 4; 25cm Newt/Dob (x31);
No tail observed, moonlight affected coma dia measurments.
(Observed from Walcha, NSW)

2008 August 09.79 UT; m1= 6.9; Dia= 6.0'; DC= 6; 20cm SCT (x50);
No tail observed, coma slightly extended to the South-East.
(Observed from Kirby Observatory site, Armidale, NSW)

C/2007 W1 Boattini

2008 August 09.76 UT; m1= 8.2; Dia= 10'; DC= 3; 7x50 Binoculars;
No tail observed. (Observed from Kirby Observatory site, Armidale, NSW)


C/2006 OF2 Broughton

2008 August 09.79 UT; m1= 10.7; Dia= 2.0'; DC= 3; 20cm SCT (x80)
No tail observed, coma seemed very small and faint. (Observed from Kirby Observatory site, Armidale, NSW)
