Question Baader Hyperion Click Zoom 8-24mm

Hi All,

just received this EP from OPTCorp in California (priced at just US$215 compared to about $399 here ), and it now comes with a 2" adapter as a free 'extra'.

However, the thread on the adapter doesn't seem to fit anything on the barrel of the EP. Can anyone explain how this works please?

Cheers,

That's a great buy.

I've been thinking about this zoom ep.

Is it parfocal? - Keeps focus well?

Have you compared it with a Hyperion of fixed focal length?

How heavy and size?

Any comments appreciated.

Regards

Hi Craig,

well it came with rave reviews from forum members who have it already. Basically that's what I based my buying decision on. It only arrived yesterday, and as expected it's been p-ssing it down since !

Cheers,

Yes, it is parfocal if you mean that once focussed, it stays in focus through all the "clicks" It is magic. worth the 400 Aussie dollars that I paid for mine. By the way, anyone want a fixed focus Hyperion 8 mm or 13 mm. Both now superceeded by the click zoom
