Jupiter from 1974??

Hi All,

Sorry to mislead you, these shots were taken last weekend at Linden (WSAAG obs night) with my Toucam pro and my new 3x ED barlow.

Unfortunately, the camera drivers hadnt been loaded properly and as it was the first time I had used it with the new laptop, the preview window showed colour but the AVI was encoded in Black & White, hence the title of the post.

I wasnt too happy to find out that 2GB of avi files are all B&W

Anyway, here are some of the better pics, I managed to get Io and Europa on some avi's but I dont think they came out in the final wash?

Thanks for stopping by.

Cheers

Chris

Thanks Mike,

Looking at these again it seems IO is visible in the second one, although I prefer the curve adjustments done on the planet's disc in the third one.

Cant wait for some colour ones......

Chris

Nice work Chris, well done.

All my planetary images are in B&W so I am used to looking at colourless images. You have captured some nice detail in the bands and also moon.

Thanks Matt,

Colour would have been nicer, but I am quite happy so far. The ED glass is a big improvement over the APO 2.5x barlow.

Cheers

Chris
