Eyepiece Descriptions
Hi all
I was wondering if someone might be able to direct me to a source that explains all the "Nomenclature" around eyepieces. I have been searching for this, but have only been able to finds bits of info from various manufacturers.
Since I will be looking for an additional eyepiece(s), I thought I should get a feel for what all the terms mean.
For example, I see one website categorises their stock by Planetary Viewing or Widefield or General Purpose. Under Planetary Viewing there are the ORTHOSCOPIC, XF and SPL eps. Under Widefield, there are the XWs. And under General Purpose are the Plossl and EDs.
I would like a source that explains the;
Hyperion
NPL, NVL, LV, LVW
Ethos
Panoptic
Nagler
Radian
Series 4000
Series 5000
Stratus
Ultrascopic
To name a few.
