Out Cold

This poor little finch flew into a glass door at my friends house yesterday.
It was knocked out for about 5 minutes, but quickly recovered after it came to.

Poor little fellow, I get a lot of birds that fly in to my windows, most end up breaking their necks unfortunately, he's one lucky little bird. I don't think it's a finch, looks like a Striated Pardelote to me. They have a beautiful cheeky call, I often hear them in the garden when I'm outside working.

Hi JJJ

A happy ending to a potentially sad story! The bird looks like a Striated Pardalote (sp?) and I bet it loved the warmth of the kind hands that picked it up!

We get Crested Pigeons flying into our glass louvres and sadly, over the years, a couple have died (instantly) from the collision. It seems to happen when they hear the warning calls of the Noisy Miners and then they all bolt, in all directions.

Cheers

Dennis
