My Best Jupiter Prime Focus

Hi All,

I was cleaning out the cobwebs of all of my previous captures as I was running low on disk space and as the hard drive was busy deleting, I ran some of my previous files through the wringer again and I think I have processed my best Jupiter image to date with what I have captured on the 24th June.

I hope you like it, I think the focus is pretty close and it came out well.

Thanks for looking.

Cheers

Chris

Good going chris! this is a real step up from your previous images!

Now all you need is for it to be 2x the size and you'll start to see surface detail in the bands!

Congrats mate.

Thanks Jeanette, Trevor and the Jupiter freak! (AlexN)

Its a bit bright in the middle, but I think the overall detail is good and the focus is much better without too much processing done to it.

I am thinking of a 3x ED barlow to help size, this was taken through a 2.5x APO barlow which has a bit of colour fringing so I might spend the $50 and see what comes of it.

Thanks for the comments. I appreciate the praise

Chris

PS. Where are the rings Alex? I am getting withdrawals waiting for Jupiter shots from you.
