M 39 - open cluster in Cygnus

Hallo south guys,
before two days I took picture of open cluster M 39. This object is boring, but I need this object to my Messier catalogue.

equipment: Canon EOS 350 D, Skywatcher ED 80/600 on EQ - 6 Skyscan
guiding: LPI camera, Guidemaster software + notebook ASUS
exposure: 8 x 5 min, ISO: 800
location: Czech Republic - middle of Europe, village Tuchorice

Weather was not good (somewhat cloudy, not good seeing and large Moon)

A nice and well defined image, it is situated in a nice star field.

I find it a strange that Charles Messier could have mistaken it for a comet though.

Cheers
