Curtiss Cross June 27, 2008 0236 UT

The "Curtiss Cross", X-shaped lunar illumination (similar to the first quarter lunar X on the moon; different location) should be formed by 0236 UT on June 27, 2008.

It is located between craters Parry and Gambart.

If the moon is "up" in your area between 0200-0400 UT on the 27th, and if you have dark skies, you should be able to observe this "X" shaped or "cross" shaped reflection that can be seen on the surface on the moon (near the terminator) as viewed from Earth; formed by the lunar sunset (with the aid of a telescope of course).

Good luck.
