ISS Pass 26/6/08

Took this tonight. The second is a slightly larger scale crop of the first.
Oly E-510, 8mm fisheye lens, f/11, 200ASA, bulb, ICNR on. I cut the exposure short because I was worried about over exposing the image.

Thanks Dave. Are you talking about the image or did you watch the pass? I thought it was quite bright by eye, but so was the sky still, so the longer I kept the shutter open the less contrast there would be on the ISS track, so I cut short the exposure.

Actually this was the middle of 3 images. The first one had the approach but it's just as well that I cut it short - the ISS wasn't visible... the bright western sky had overwhelmed it. The last one didn't show the ISS either, as it was starting to fade into eclipse, so I didn't have enough aperture. Such is life.

Al.

PS BTW it was a 76.52s exposure.

Thanks Stephen.

I can't even see the ISS track in those shots on my work monitor!
