SOLD: Celestron Nexstar 4gt Model 11041

My nexstar must be sold to fianance incoming imaging toys...

GT4 is a Maksutov Cassegrain design with 102mm aperture and focal length of 1320mm. (f13)

The 4GT comes with tripod with telescoping stainless steel with equatorial wedge. Scope can be set up in altaz and eq mode.

This scope is arguably better for imaging than most nexstars due to internal flip mirror and rear Photography port and the equatorial setup.

The goto works very well. It has the revised handset that addresses the issues with the first version. I will also include serial cable for remote control of scope, I used it with cartes du ciel planetarium software to slew the scope, using the ascom platform.

Looking for around $400.

Pick up is welcomed, posting is availiable. Will be traveling to sydney soon, so arrangements can be made to meet up.

Can the OTA be detached from the goto mount?

Looks in good condition. I will get back to you once I have done a bit of research. It would make a nice play scope.

The ota can be removed. The problem is that the mounting isnt the same as a vixen or other standard mount but you can mount other ota's with this http://www.alpineastro.com/mounting_...stallation.pdf

So maksutover are more interested in ota or goto?
