Jupiter this morning, June 17

After a long run of cloud, fog, rain, etc I finally got a clear night last night with some decent seeing.

This image was taken with the scope in it's portable setup, the final check out before it gets packed into the car and off to Nambucca heads for a couple of weeks of sun and perfect seeing (yeah right).

cheers, Bird

Very nice Bird!

Lots of great detail in the temperate zones and the NEB!
I'm still waiting for some more up-to-date weather reports before I commit to coming down to Nambucca Heads..

The weather looks favourable for the end of next week, but keep an eye on the charts. There's a nice big High coming across that should give some clear skies.

cheers, Bird

As always Anthony, that is one cracker of an image.

So much fine detail and huge image scale!
