12/06/08 Saturn

Yesterday I got lucky. During one hour the sky was cloudless and I could take a picture of Saturn. Although it is far and quite low in the horizon, I think they show still the STZ perturbation.

Nice image Pelu...

Im currently sitting in the freezing cold wind trying to get a shot of Jupiter.. Must say, the wind is not helping

You've done very well to capture it low to the horizon while still capturing alot of nice detail.

Hi Pelu, wow that's probably the best Saturn I've seen for while, since...well, I think your last one. Awesome detail. I fancy I can see at least two lighter spots in the mid latitudes?

AlexN :-) is hard to me to imagine someone taking cold in Juny. Here we have near 25ºC...

Robert T, yes, this season the STZ in Saturn has been very active. We have seen several times how appears and dissapears white storms in this area. I have better images:
