Steve, a very overactive imagination and very funny indeed. I like the cracks that are showing at the focuser porthole.

I'm willing to swap for a Meade Red Dot finder in "as new" condition ... provided you pay postage for the dob.

Due to the interest, I'll be now taking commissions for these premium dobs aswell as my new premium grade refractors made out of top quality components such as the cardboard inner section of a toilet roll and the smashed off end of a coke bottle.. nothing but the best!
and Fahim..thats not cracks.. the technical term is "baffles"

You ******!!

When did you nick my best scope?? It's a classic semi-off-axis newt.

Images I've produced with that are hanging in modern art galleries all over the country.

Leave it in the Crown St mall near the ampitheatre with five big ones stuffed into the focusser and no more will be said......trust me.

Good idea. You take the ridicule and I'll have the derision.

How about we all put in together and order a heap of these scopes. We may get a deal on a heap of then. The refractors sound very good.

Darn it, I thought you had managed to salvage Hubble. The give-away was the optic offsets (obviously designed to keep them clear of the glare of the Sun). So it's SOHO, isn't it? Mate, Buddy, Pal, Old Chap, I'd love to do a deal but I'm just back from the bakery where I spent my last $1.70. Damn shame that. Good luck with the auction.

More photos please? Any warranty that it will survive shipping? But with a single curved vane spider and those novel corner-oriented baffles - it's very tempting. But I'll have to deduct the price of the black paint I'll need for touching up the silver baffles.

I like the "no tools" collimation of the secondary!

This is one you really do collimate with a sledgehammer. The standard tool kit includes:

hammer, duct tape, chewing gum, string and tyre levers (for adjusting the mount).

The optional optical care kit includes:

scotch brite, brasso, spray can of silver paint, masking tape and an old singlet

Plus, for the first 10 customers, we'll include a free set of steak knives.

Is that the half dozen, or dozen? Stainless? Serrated?

Hmmm, not sure. Could you describe the difference?
