Good observing this moon-less weekend in Brissie

Well, this last weekend, I had a great observing session, and really got to know my new ‘scope!! Here’s how it went….
I took my plastic easy chair into the shed – along with a tumbler of red. I placed it in a position so that I could admire the scope and observe the slow motion controls and new 2 inch diagonal prism. Then I moved my chair round and observed it from a different angle – it looked larger and I felt drowsier. At this point in time the tumbler was getting empty and I passed into a reverie and imagined I was observing Eta Carina exploding in a super nova!! It all seemed very realistic when I heard a loud BANG (not a CME from Eta, as I thought) from the shed roof which woke me up. It was just another branch falling down and the rain fell down even harder.
My observing session was over. I took a last lingering look at all my 4 scopes and wondered if I would ever actually use them again. I tiptoed quietly out of the shed, turned out the light and locked the door.
Yes, the weather is delightful here in Queensland.

Nothing to warrant this amount of rain.....a few cables, ....a flip mirror.......The modded 20D was more than a month ago....so it can't have been me. .....I know that Robert_T has been spending a few bucks here and there....maybe it's a delayed effect of his spending.

Wait until AFTER Astrofest though.......then you'll see some rain
