My best Jupiter data

Hi All,

I have finished processing the data from the 21st of May (UT) and have zipped up the .tiffs for R, G, B.

I have applied two sets of wavelets which you will be able to see from the file name. One is for sliders 2 & 3 only, the other one uses 2 thru 6. They are underprocessed as Astral Image is intended to finish off via deconvolution.

I have a DOB base, so field rotation is an issue. I also image B first, then G then R. So i have had to rotate the images. 44 stands for 44 degrees CCW, 45, stands for 45 degrees CCW. SOOOOO, you will need to work out the best rotation for G and R to match the B.

Attached is my final process and I would interested in what others end up with.

The zipped up files are here. Also included in the bigger ZIPS is the best 150 frames from each channel.

That's an incredible image, Dave. Easily your best - so much fine detail.

Hey Dave,

Wow, what a pleasure to work with Jupiter so big in the frame, like Matty said, it was fun to play with some quality data.

The main thing I did was use the unsharp mask in gimp with values of:
radius = 2.5
amount = 7.5
threshold = 0
with 146 frames stacked (from the big zips) in registax separately as r,g,b and then recombined in gimp and unsharped.

Here is my effort at processing, with my newbie skills, not sure if it's any good, apologies if it looks worse . Comparing them side by side, I prefer yours.
